Job Description:
For candidates that do not have significant, relevant, post-undergraduate work experience, the Junior Analyst position is the entry level position for professionals at our firm.  Junior Analysts work on a deal team comprised of Analysts, Associates, and a Director and support their efforts to identify M&A opportunities.  The responsibilities are largely of a qualitative nature; there is no financial modeling and only minor financial statement analysis.
Most of a Junior Analyst’s time is spent conducting research of industries and acquisition candidates or operating executives to spearhead the acquisition strategies.  To a lesser extent, Junior Analysts also assist in the design and preparation of marketing materials, participate in calls and meetings with acquisition candidates and our clients, and prepare deal memoranda for our clients.  This important work leads to acquisitions and investments by our blue chip list of private equity funds, hedge funds, corporations, and Fortune 500 CEOs.
The Junior Analyst position is a temp-to-hire one where the individual works 40 hours/week in a temporary capacity for a maximum of six months.  During this time, periodic informal performance reviews are conducted, and the individual and the company are able to assess whether there is a mutual fit.  After completing 4-6 months in the position, and an Analyst position is available, the candidate will be considered for a full-time Analyst role.  Analysts are salaried employees with full benefits (medical insurance, 401-k plan, etc.).

Program Benefits:
Introduction to the dynamics of the mergers & acquisitions industry
Exposure to professionals at leading private equity funds, hedge funds, and corporations.
Exposure to the dynamics of a broad range of industries and company types (i.e. manufacturing, business services, distribution, and retail)
Ground floor opportunity to join and advance within a leading M&A firm.

Job Qualifications:
Candidates must have earned a Bachelor's degree from a leading four-year college or university. Ideal candidates will be intelligent, hardworking, professional, and eager to learn about private equity, corporate buyouts, and related fields of finance. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), proven work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, responsibility, and pride in workmanship are necessities. ALL MAJORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY: finance experience is not required as the job responsibilities are not quantitative in nature.
